I cut my hair a good couple of inches last week so now it’s in a long bob. I forgot that, when short enough, half my hair flips outwards and half flips inwards. Fun. I wanted a low maintenance hair style that wouldn’t get tangled when I forget to brush it out. Anyways, I think my hair looks the best after I wash it and it’s air drying, giving it this textured wavy look. It looks very cool.

My hair went back to its boring straight self (ha!) after I brushed it out. Booooo.

Aww a shame. What you can try is scrunching your hair after you shower. It does mean you'd have to avoid brushing it, so if you're worried about bad tangles you can brush first then scrunch or comb through your hair while you wash it.

In any case, at least you were able to embrace the wavy hair for a lil bit<3

My hair used to do the asymmetrical flippy thing back in the pre-transition times whenever I wore it at that length. It could be counteracted by blow-drying with a round brush, but who's got time for that?

Yeah I got no time or patience for that lol. I do have a hot air brush that I could use but I usually forget.

oohhh did you cut it yourself? how do you do it if so? i'm in desperate need of a haircut but lowkey terrified to do it myself so keen for any tips or advice 👀

Oh my hair is absolutely abysmal 😂 It’s uneven and choppy and actually I need to get my husband to trim so the ends are even orz I usually part my hair in the middle, make low pigtails and cut them all the same length. I have thick hair and should’ve made four to five pigtails, but I made two out of impatience and that was my downfall. Sigh. It’s nothing fancy. I do miss having layers though.
